Saul Alexander papers
Bank of Charleston records
Records of the Bank of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina. Materials relate to the daily operations and financial transactions of the Bank of Charleston. Collection includes ledgers, journals, and receipt books containing records of general accounts, deposits, loans, and exchange rates. Also included are ledgers containing the business accounts of Merchants National Bank, Savannah, Georgia, and the Bank of Liverpool.
Chisolm's Rice Mill records
Collection consists of the records of Chisolm's Rice Mill, Charleston, South Carolina, from 1873 to 1925. Records include letterpress copybooks containing monthly records of amounts paid and due at the mill, cash books, balance books, general ledgers, and vouchers and receipts for companies and individuals for goods and services.
Drayton papers
Diaries, ledgers, correspondence, inventories, plats, sketches, architectural drawings of John Drayton, Charles Drayton I-III, James Glen, Charlotta Drayton, Mary Middleton Drayton and others, relating mainly to affairs at Drayton Hall and other family plantations. Items listed in the accounts include cloth, clothing, food goods, furniture, household goods, seeds, bagging, nails, axes, tobacco, and other items.
