Diaries, ledgers, correspondence, inventories, plats, sketches, architectural drawings of John Drayton, Charles Drayton I-III, James Glen, Charlotta Drayton, Mary Middleton Drayton and others, relating mainly to affairs at Drayton Hall and other family plantations. Collection also includes artwork, reflections on eighteenth century literature, deeds, newspaper clippings and photographs.

Correspondents include James Easterby, DuBose Heyward, Ludwig Lewisohn, Herbert Ravenel Sass, Albert Simons, Thomas Tobias, and others. Written materials include notes concerning Harris' classes and personal writing, prepared by Paul Weidner. Also included in the collection are the personal papers and correspondence of Carlotta Harris.

Page 74 gives the latter part of the Communion Prayer from the service for Tuesday in Holy Week, with the scriptures from Psalm 68: 13-14: "But as for me, my prayer is to Thee, O Lord; for the time of Thy good pleasure, O God, in the multitude of Thy mercy." Collection Overview This collection of late seventeenth century maps of the world was printed and published by the Danckerts family in Amsterdam. This unique composite atlas has no index or title page. The endsheet contains the signature "Mitchell King, 1811" and the first map contains the signature "M. King, 1811". The maps are undated except for the last map "Tabula Indiae Orientalis" by de Wit and L'Huilier which is dated 1662. The compiling period of the atlas was determined to be between 1690 and 1695....
