Collection Overview
Established in 1973 by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) Secretary, the organization consisted of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the former Health Service and Mental Health Administration (HSMHA). Contains correspondence, memorandums, reports from Drug Abuse Training Centers, manuals, (many written by Anderson), and travel expense reports.
