Scope and Contents
Contains various editions of Constitution and By-Laws, correspondence, meeting minutes, financial reports, procedure manuals, event programs, and photocopied newspaper clippings regarding Whipper's membership with this historically African American national women's service organization. Of note is the National Trends and Services Facet Committee's work on "The Hurricane Hugo Project," (Box #156, Folder#9: 1989-1990), which details the relief efforts provided to fellow South Carolinians. Also included is an oversize box (#160) with the scrapbook, "Woman of the Year," highlighting Whipper's professional and civic accomplishments.
