Family papers of the Mazo, Rabin, and Sorota families of Charleston, South Carolina. Included are photographs and albums, correspondence, newspaper clippings, legal documents, and ephemera. Some of them relate to Leon's Men's Wear and various properties the family owned on King Street, the activities of Eliot and Eileen Rabin, and various activities of Leon Rabin.

This series focused on Abeles's art career contains programs, catalogs and publicity material about exhibitions, showings, and galleries he has been involved with. It also features clippings about his career, correspondence about his show "The Max Drawings," information on organizational associations, and a few sketches, slides, and reproductions of his work. Two CDs includes images of his art.

Content Description From the Collection: Assorted family papers of the Banov and Leopold families. Materials consist of correspondence with family in Poland and Israel, postcards (many published by I. Ginsburg), clippings, genealogical materials, a photograph, an etching by Hermann Struck, and ephemera from local Jewish organizations. Printed materials include Ladies Benevolent Society Centennial pamphlets, prayer books, and US Army-issued books from both World Wars.
