Collection of property conveyances for properties in South Carolina. Renunciation of dower (1774) by Martha Godin, wife of Isaac Godin to John Wells, Robert Mackenzie, Jr., William Carson, Bryan Cape, and James Harvey for a lot, houses, and outbuildings at 40 Church Street, Charleston. Deed (1776) from Jacob Motte, William Logan, John Huger, Benjamin Huger, and Alexander Rose (of property leased and released in 1771 from John and Elizabeth Blanche Torrans and John and Charlotte Poaug) to John Scott for 795 acres, houses, and outbuildings in Christ Church Parish, Berkeley County sold at auction.; Lease (1785) between Eliza Hartley, [power of] attorney for Janet Cumming, the only surviving executrix of Helen Rattray to John Harleston and deed from Cumming to Harleston for the lot, houses, and outbuildings on the northwest corner of Broad and King Streets, Charleston. Deed (1886) from John Harleston and Elizabeth Harleston to Ann Timothy for the property on the northwest corner of Broad and King.; Deed (1786) from Benjamin Stead (who inherited from his father Benjamin Stead a half share in the property and bought his sister Mary Stead's quarter share inheritance) and Patience Wise Stead to Ralph Izard (the younger, whose wife Elizabeth Stead Izard inherited a quarter share) a lot and houses on the north side of Broad Street, Charleston designated lot 56 on the grand plat and formerly the property of William Bull. A grant (1795) and a plat (1795) from the State of South Carolina to Sarah Yonge for 500 acres on Whippy Swamp, Prince William Parish.; Renunciation of dower (1800) by Charlotte Martin to Spencer Man and Ebenezer Coffin for a lot on the south side of Tradd Street at East Bay, Charleston. Lease (1800) and release (1800) from Spencer Man and Ebenezer Coffin (merchants), assignees of trust estate of Thomas Martin to Thomas Barksdale for the property on the south side of Tradd Street.
