The collection consists of three pamphlets and two newsletters published by or for the John Birch Society. The pamphlets are each dated between 1964 and 1965. The documents highlight the society's belief in anti-communism. One pamphlet discusses a meeting of the John Birch Society in Charleston, S.C., on January 21, 1965.

The collection contains correspondence between John Asbury Zeigler, Jr. (1912-2015) and Julius (1904-1945) and Frances Butwin (1911-1996). The letters discuss literary interests, political activism, daily life, and the writings of all three individuals. Included with the letters are drafts of short stories and poems authored by Zeigler.

The collection contains feminist zines, photocopies of zines, correspondence, and other materials gathered by Alison Piepmeier for academic research and teaching. Also included are related ephemera and several cd discs. The bulk of materials are undated and original folder titles and arrangement by Piepmeier have been retained.

Assorted materials including publisher files, office files, author correspondence files, publishing and production files, layout and design materials, and other records of the Charleston, South Carolina-based publisher Wyrick and Company Publishers.

Papers of author and College of Charleston Professor of English, Bret Lott. Papers include manuscripts, reviews by and about Lott, memorabilia and souvenirs, publishing contracts and other legal documentation, teaching and early writing career materials, promotional materials, audiovisual materials, and a Brother Deluxe 750TR typewriter.
