Three scrapbooks: (1) Sept. 1940-June 1941; (2) July 1941-Dec. 1942; and (3) Jan. 1943-June 1944 contain a collection of memorabilia providing a comprehensive record of social life at the College of Charleston from 1940-1944, from student and city newspapers about the College and the deaths of alumni during World War II. The collection consists of the minutes of the Board of Directors (1971-1972), the Treasurer's report (1972), and the Exchange Club budget report (1972-1973). The papers include a letter to prospective exhibitors for the 1972 Coastal Carolina Fair and correspondence from prospective participants in a photography contest held at the fair.
