Scope and Contents From the Series: The slides series consists of about 10,000 personal and professional slides taken by Joseph Towles, Colin Turnbull, and others during their world travels, mostly relating to the Mbuti of the Ituri Forest in Uganda and the Ik of the Congo (1948-1988). They reflect the people, physical environment, material culture, and rituals.
