Scope and Contents
Newspaper clippings document a variety of topics including tariffs affecting Sea Island cotton growers, annotated clippings from the Afro-American about Reconstruction politicians, the comics section from the Afro-American, inductions to the American College of Surgeons, Dr. T. C. McFall's nomination to the South Carolina advisory hospital council as the first African American, former assistant professor of romance languages at Howard University, Louis Achille, appointment as the head of the division of foreign languages at Lycee National du Parc, and a photo from the Beta Iota Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Fashion Fantasy event featuring Mrs. W. A. Streat.
