Abstract

"In the spring of 1967 the Black students, Carlyle Brown and Jimmy Carrol at New York University formed the Black Allied Students Association (BASA) to "deal with racism against the Black Community." Brown was responsible for spearheading it's newspaper entitled, "The Faith."
