Scope and Contents
Holds Brown's identification cards, high school and college yearbooks, organizational affilations. A larger subseries contains photographs of Brown in various stages of his life, and of immediate family members and friends. Another subseries holds documents pertaining to Brown's maritime involvement with Outward Bound and as a tall ship crewman and captain. Correspondence holds brief personal messages of mostly greeting and postcards. Of Interest: Box 1 Folder 5, Kentucky State College documents holds a newspaper flyer/broadside (6x9 inches) of "Freedom March on Frankfort March 5th" with speakers: "Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jackie Robinson, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, Rev. Wyatt T. Walker and James Farmer." Issued by Allied Organizations for Civil Rights in Kentucky.
