Case against the South Carolina Election Commission in which plaintiff’s state their federal constitutional right to vote for Charles Ravenel, Democratic nominee for Governor of South Carolina, was abridged due to the enforcement of an article in the South Carolina Constitution, which placed a residency requirement upon nominees from the state of South Carolina. The case was appealed to the United States Supreme Court, under the October term of 1974.
