 File — Box: 38, Folder: 5-6
Scope and Contents

Correspondence from constituents proclaiming vigorous opposition to the Fair Employment Practices Commission (FEPC). Originally created during wartime to combat racial discrimination in defense industries, the FEPC met strong opposition, particularly in the South, when legislation was proposed to establish a permanent FEPC.
