This collection includes publications, clippings, conference materials, speeches, ephemera, and other materials relating to Mae Morris and her involvement with Federally Employed Women, Inc. (FEW). The publications feature assorted journal articles, magazine pieces, and newspaper clippings focused on feminism, political activism, and issues affecting working women. The conference materials relate to various professional events, seminars, and workshops Mae Morris attended throughout her career. Additionally, the collection contains drafts of speeches prepared by Morris and other conference speakers, as well as posters, button pins, and a sweatshirt relating to the women’s liberation movement.

Biographical Note

Mae Morris (1928-2025) served as the Federal Women's Program (FWP) Coordinator for NASA’s Kennedy Space Center from 1975 to 1977. Throughout her career, Morris was actively involved in Federally Employed Women, Inc. (FEW), an organization founded in 1968 to end gender discrimination, promote diversity, and advance women’s careers in the federal government. She was elected national president of FEW in 1976.
