Biographical Note
Oise Sokol was born in Poland in 1837. He and his wife, Chava, had eight children, Chaiya Faega, Esther, Chava, Baruch Mordecai, Itcha Lazier, Leaperesh, Tzvish, and Devorah Pearl. Several of the Sokols' grandchildren immigrated to the United States and settled in South Carolina.
