Collection Overview
Two mezzotints of Victorian parlor scenes titled Family Devotion, Morning and Family Devotion, Evening by James Scott (1809-1899) after Edward Prentis (1797–1854). Family Devotion, Morning shows an interior with a family gathered around a breakfast table, the man on the left is reading from a Bible. Two other women sit near a window to left and a glass-fronted bookcase with one door open is in the background. Landscape paintings and a small portrait are on the walls. Family Devotion, Evening shows an interior with a family gathered around a table, where an elderly man sits reading a Bible. A piano is on the left. A landscape painting, a portrait painting, and a painting of The Good Samaritan are on the wall.
