This collection consists of a receipt issued by the Office of Receiver in Charleston, S.C. to Patrick O'Donnell for 279 dollars and 58 cents. It is dated October 21, 1864 and signed by John Y. Stock, receiver. "Confederate States of America. Office of Receiver, under the Sequestration Act of 1861. Received at Charleston, oct. 21st 1864 of Mr. Patk. O'Donnell. Two hundred and seventy-nine Dollars 58 cents, the same being in full amount due by him for 2 year's interest to 31st Aug. 1864 under the above specified Act. according to his Return on file in this Office."
