Collection Overview

From the Collection:

Collection consists primarily of photographs of the Rosenberg and Loeb families, with a smaller number of photographs of the Winstock family. The largest number of photographs document Herbert Jerome Rosenberg and his immediate family, including images of his service during World War I, with his wife Rosalie "Honey" Loeb Rosenberg and his three children, Herbert Rosenberg Jr., Carol Marjorie Rosenberg Loeb, and Leman Rosenberg. The collection also contains scrapbooks, financial papers, diplomas, certificates, and genealogical research. Genealogical materials include articles, Evelyn Rosenberg Gross-Brein's notes on biographical information and her Ph.D. thesis about Eva Leah Visanka Winstock, wife of Moses Winstock. Also included are a number of clippings on members of the Rosenberg family, their clothing store in Greenwood, South Carolina, and a book of poetry written by Rosalie "Honey" Loeb Rosenberg, featuring poems to or about family members. Of note is a scrapbook containing a large number of letters between members of the Rosenberg family spanning the decades from the 1880s through the early 1960s.
