Examples include: Judah P. Benjamin, Sarah Bernhardt, Adolphe Crémieux, Benjamin Disraeli, Rachel Félix (known as Mademoiselle Rachel), Moses Montefiore, members of the Rothschild family, Jacques Offenbach, Moritz Daniel Oppenheim, and Joseph Schwarz.
