Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series consists of personal correspondence primarily from Billy Keyserling to his parents, including letters from boarding school, college, and his time living and working in Washington, D.C.; school records, including progress reports, certificates, essays, and a team portrait of Billy's junior high school football team, the Beaufort Ripples; and writings, including articles written for the College of Charleston student publication The Meteor, "Longshot Democrats Never Had a Chance in the Media" written for the Washington Post, the commentary "It's Wrong for the Media to Write Off the Other Candidates" written for the Washington Post National Weekly Edition, and assorted commentaries written for the Beaufort Gazette. Also included are campaign materials and clippings associated with Keyserling's 2008 Beaufort mayoral race and clippings relating to his political work in Washington, D.C.
