The collection consists of the Hornik's Guide to Store Success and 1910 Spring Catalogue (178 pages). The catalog includes descriptions, images, and prices of goods, as well as general advice on how to run a successful store. Hornik's sold a variety of goods to rural stores, including linens and textiles; clothing for children, men, and women; horse goods and harnesses; musical instruments; and tools, hardware, and cookware. Also included is a color reproduction of a postcard featuring the Charleston city market on Meeting Street. The M. Hornik & Co. storefront, located on the corner of Meeting and Market Streets, can be seen in the background.
