Collection Overview

From the Collection:

The collection consists of the papers of Linda G. Ketner from 1988 to 2013. The papers include political campaign records, professional papers, records relating to the Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA). Where possible, original folder titles have been retained. Political campaign records include reference files, operating files, notebooks, objects, and born-digital materials containing opposition research, focus group recordings, advertisements, and photographs relating to Ketner’s 2008 run for United States Congress in District 1 of South Carolina. AFFA records contain articles, working files, strategic planning files, notes, and training materials relating to Ketner’s position as co-founder, board president, and volunteer. AFFA records also contain audiovisual and born-digital materials including files, documentaries, and radio shows and SC Equality (formerly known as South Carolina Equality Coalition or SCEC) files and documentaries. Professional papers include board meeting materials from Ketner’s various positions on the boards of the International African American Museum and the College of Charleston. There are also published articles about Ketner, audiovisual materials including interviews, and born-digital materials including working files and photographs.
