Scope and Contents
The audiovisual materials series is divided by format into four subseries: audiocassettes, compact discs, DVDs, and reel-to-reel audio tapes. The series contains audio recordings of speeches given by L. Mendel Rivers, ceremonies held in his honor, recordings of his funeral and memorial service, news broadcasts and programs concerning Rivers or in which he participated, oral interviews conducted about L. Mendel Rivers, and moving picture footage of family home videos and the professional activities of L. Mendel Rivers.
