Scrapbook pages, removed from their original binder, containing photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and copies of legislation concerning a House Concurrent Resolution (347), introduced by L. Mendel Rivers, tendering the thanks of Congress to General of the Army Douglas MacArthur. Those pictured include L. Mendel Rivers, President John F. Kennedy, Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson, Speak of the House John McCormack, and General Douglas MacArthur.
