The Lecque family of Liberty Hill, South Carolina, was an African American family consisting largely of farmers and brickmasons. The family was one of the founding families of the Liberty Hill community (in North Charleston), which was established by Freedmen circa 1864-1867 along the railroad tracks to Mixon Avenue and along Montague Avenue.
