It was formed for the relief of orphans and widows in the community; and to provide for the general welfare of the community as a whole. Abstract The Seashore Farmers’ Lodge No. 767 was founded in 1905 by residents of the Sol Legare community of James Island. The building, which housed the Lodge and became the center of member and community activities, was constructed in 1915.
