Abstract Gracie B. Dobbins (1905-2001) was an African American school teacher. She was born Gracie Lee Burns in 1905 and graduated Avery Institute in 1924 with a teaching certificate. She later married a Mr. Dobbins and taught at Minnie Hughes Elementary School on Yonges Island and possibly elsewhere.
