Scope and Contents

"Member of Avery Class of 1944 that applied to the College of Charleston. Former head of Human Relations, College of Charleston. First president of the Avery Institute of Afro-American History and Culture. In 1986, elected to the South Carolina Assembly, House District #109, to become Charleston County's first Black woman legislator." Holds 5x7 black and white image. Includes Drago's photograph permission release letter.
