Abstract
Delbert Woods discusses his activity in fighting discrimination as a part of the United States Civil Service; the importance of the Charleston Naval Base and his work on the shop committee which predated any union activity; segregation at the Naval Base; his involvement with the Charleston Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and his relationship with J. Arthur Brown; his organizing at the Naval Base and filing complaints; and who is carrying on the struggle now.
The oral history is conducted by Jack McCray.
