Biographical / Historical
Anna Theresa Harrenburg (1869-1928), daughter of Hammond Harrenburg (1826-1886) and Nancy Nowell. She graduated from the Avery Normal Institute in 1885 and married Benjamin Rhodes DeCosta (1867-1911) on August 4, 1887. The couple had 11 children, many of which became educators, carpenters, and contractors.
