Side A of the cassette includes an unidentified woman reading miscellaneous facts about the Brown Fellowship Society from minutes of the organization's meetings. Side B includes an oral history with Eugene C. Hunt conducted by the same unidentified woman. No consent forms for this oral history were included in the donation of these materials. Mr. Hunt discusses Charleston churches, including Mt. Zion and St. Mark's; his education at the Avery Normal Institute and the role of music at the school; his childhood, his parents, and their experiences with segregated housing in Charleston.
