Abstract
In 1995, Juanita Brown intially established the William Melvin Brown, Jr. Scholarship Endowment, an annual scholarship to a Black senior at Bishop England High School. The fund was later changed to include African-American Catholics who live in Charleston County and who are accepted to attend a Charleston Catholic School.
