J. Arthur and MaeDe Brown were long-time parishioners of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Materials include a program from the Centennial Observance of the Emancipation Proclamation held at Allen University; a program from an All University Religious Service at Howard University with annotations, a program from the Installation of the Bishop of South Carolina and the Service for the Commissioning off the Diocesan Lay Readers held at Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul; a program from the 175th Annual Convention of the Diocese and the convention reports; a booklet of historical facts about St. Mark’s for their centennial anniversary; a program from the installation of the Rev.
