Includes typed annotations by Turnbull describing contents, stating that they belonged to Towles and were sent to Samoa by mistake upon Towles' death. Includes Pace College university notebook and magazine containing Towles' obituary; legal papers including Towles' driving records and 1979 DUI charges and correspondence with attorney (later Senator) Lawrence D. Wilder from Virginia regarding the lawsuit; family-related legal correspondence (Charles Towles v. Joseph Towles); and a copy of Towles' birth certificate and his curriculum vitae.
