Joseph Towles: Diary Transcriptions by Curtis Abraham and Commentary by Colin Turnbull, 1990s
Scope and Contents
Includes transcriptions of Joseph Towles' personal diaries [see box 28] by aspiring anthropologist Curtis Abraham, who intended to write the biography of Towles, circa 1990. Colin Turnbull provided handwritten annotation with a brief explanation of his commentary. Includes detailed chronology of Towles' life compiled by Abraham and edited by Turnbull; a letter and notes to Abraham from Tunbull; and notes by Turnbull regarding fights and attempts at resolution with Towles.
