Contains the information compiled by Chinenyem V. Nwadiugwu on Maude Cullen, an African American midwife in Charleston, South Carolina. Includes biography of Cullen, Nwadiugwa's research notes, health reports about African Americans, scholarly articles, newspaper clippings, and articles related to African American health. There are thirty-seven color photos taken at a 2007 museum exhibit on 20th Century medicine at Berkeley Museum in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Some of the photos contain captions on the back.
