Presbyterian education; St. John's High School for whites only; Washington's differences with of Esau Jenkins; the racial makeup of Johns Island; farming crops on the Island; African-American farmers; On Johns and James Island discussed how was the land acquired, handed down by family members, an acre of land cost $25 (at one time); financial assistance for migrant farmers versus African-Americans.

Side B: Sound quality: Fair to good Migrant farmers discussion continued; the need for educational training; the lack of African-American educators; Washington's inability to retire; his involvement with the church; the stigma of enslavement; irrated by people who want to study Gullah language, advocates speaking the "Kings Language."
