Biographical/Historical note
Herbert Alexander DeCosta (1894-1960), the fourth child of Benjamin and Anna DeCosta, married Julia Ellen Craft (1898-1990) in 1921. They had two children Herbert Alexander DeCosta, Jr. (1923-2008) and Bernice Craft DeCosta (born 1924). Herbert A. DeCosta, Sr., was the founder of H. A. DeCosta Construction Company and president until his death.
