Collection Overview

Copies of court documents and affidavits that are crucial to the civil rights movement in SC. J.A.B.'s involvement in the cases are covered through his affiliation with the NAACP as well as on behalf of his daughter Millicent. The documents cover cases that deal with the topics of school integration (1963); park integration' (1960) and the unfair treatment of African Americans in official matters (1979).
