Abstract
Miriam M. Brown (1901-2002) worked as an educator for fifty-two years at multiple schools in Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She received numerous recognitions for her work in the community, including a proclamation from the town of Mount Pleasant declaring October 12th of each year as Miriam Brown Memorial Day.
