Historical Note

The prayer book, The form of prayers, according to the custom of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews (vol. 1), edited by Isaac Leeser, 1846, was given to Rebecca Elias in 1850 and given by her son, Melvin M. Israel, to his niece, Adelaide Rebecca Triest, in 1917.
