Photographs originally housed in a binder containing photographs of L. Mendel Rivers and numerous high profile figures. Many of these photographs appear in the books Mendel and Me and Rivers Delivers. Also pictured are L. Mendel's mother Henrietta Marion McCay Rivers Shepard, Herringstone, Peggy Rivers, Marion Rivers, Margaret Middleton Rivers, L. Mendel Rivers, Jr, Senator J. Strom Thurmond, Billy Graham, General William Westmoreland, President Lyndon B. Johnson, Admiral Hyman Rickover, former heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey, and Chiang-Kai-Shek. Also included are copies of letters of sympathy from prominent figures following L. Mendel Rivers' death.
