Nineteen photographs of L. Mendel Rivers visiting and airbase and accepting an award given to him by the Civil Air Patrol. Also included are two photographs of L. Mendel Rivers speaking with a United States Army officer in his new office in the Rayburn building. Also pictured is a half completed bust of L. Mendel Rivers.
