Scope and Contents
Seventeen photographs from L. Mendel Rivers' Annual "bird luncheon" hosted in honor of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Those pictured include General Taylor, General Wheeler, Admiral Anderson, General Shoup, General LeMay, House Majority Leader Carl Albert, Charles Halleck, Varl Vinson, Representatives Arends, Ford, Kirwan, Miller, Philbin, Sikes, and Senator Russell, former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Jack Dempsey, W. A. Pulber, and Governor Russell of South Carolina.
