Marjorie Amos-Frazier (1926-2010) was a Civil Rights activist and politician in Charleston, South Carolina. She was the first woman elected to serve on the Charleston County Council in 1974. Joseph C. James served the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church in several capacities: Deacon, elder, and Minister. James served congregations throughout South Carolina, including Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Kingstree, Orangeburg, Columbia, and elsewhere.
