Abstract
Virginia Mixson Geraty (1915-2004) was born in Summerville, South Carolina to Edward Miles Mixson and his wife Ethel Sarah Ray Mixson. Geraty attended Immaculate Catholic School at Hendersonville, North Carolina, where her family lived during part of her childhood. After the passing of her younger brother and father, Geraty and her family moved to Yonges Island, South Carolina.
